Terms of service
Revised on
Draft for review. The business owner still has to fill in everything shown in [brackets], and a lawyer familiar with your jurisdiction should check the full text before it goes live.
You are entering into this agreement with [Legal company name] (“Swoop TV”, “we”). Signing up for an account, or using the service at all, means you accept these terms.
1. What we provide
Swoop TV streams live TV channels and on-demand programs over the internet, which you watch through a compatible player app. The line-up is not fixed and may change. [Explain how the content on your service is licensed, and have a lawyer review this section.]
2. Your account
- Account holders must be 18 or older, and the details you give us must be true.
- Keeping your password and streaming credentials private is your job.
- Each person may hold one account, and each account gets one free trial.
3. Plans and device limits
When you buy a plan you pick how many devices can stream at once, from 1 to 5, as listed on the pricing page. We may suspend an account whose login is shared outside the household or used on more screens than the plan covers.
4. Paying for a plan
All prices are in US dollars, and you pay one time for the term you choose. Cards issued in another currency are converted by your bank or card issuer. [State whether plans renew automatically or manually, and whether reminder emails are sent.] Our refund policy explains when money is returned.
5. What you may not do
Do not resell or rebroadcast anything from the service, record it to share with others, or show it in public. Do not try to get into someone else’s account or into our systems, and do not run bots or scripts that put abnormal strain on the service.
6. Uptime
We try hard to keep things running. Even so, your stream also relies on your own internet connection, your hardware and outside apps we have no control over, and we cannot promise that any given channel or event will be on air at all times.
7. Apps and hardware from other companies
The players and devices named on this website are owned by other companies, which set their own prices, terms and availability.
8. Closing or suspending an account
Contact support whenever you want your account closed. If an account breaks these terms, we may suspend or close it, giving notice first when that is reasonable.
9. Limits on liability
[Insert warranty disclaimers and liability limits suited to your jurisdiction. A lawyer must review this.]
10. Which law applies
The laws of [Governing law, e.g. State of Delaware, USA] govern these terms. Consumer protections that apply where you live are not affected.
11. Updates to these terms
These terms may change. For any significant change, account holders get an email before the new version applies.
