Amazon Firestick

Install Swoop TV on a Firestick

For most people, a Firestick behind the living-room TV is where Swoop TV IPTV gets watched the most. These steps cover the Fire TV Stick Lite, the 4K and 4K Max sticks and the Fire TV Cube. Budget ten minutes; the downloads take up most of that.

Before you start

  • A Amazon Firestick that is online
  • The Swoop TV login shown in your dashboard. Not signed up? Grab a free trial first.
  • A player app, for example: IPTV Smarters Pro, TiviMate, IBO Player

Setup, one step at a time

  1. Let the stick install outside apps

Go to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer options. Switch on “Apps from Unknown Sources”, or on newer sticks open “Install unknown apps” and allow Downloader. No Developer options menu? Open My Fire TV → About and press Select on the device name seven times in a row.

  2. Get Downloader from the Appstore

Type “Downloader” into the Amazon Appstore search and install it. Most IPTV players are not sold through Amazon, and this free tool is how people normally fetch them.

  3. Download the player

In Downloader, type the link or short code shown in the “Setup” section of your Swoop TV dashboard. Choose Install once the file arrives, then remove the leftover installer so the stick keeps its free space.

  4. Log in with the details from your dashboard

Pick “Xtream Codes” as the login method (a few players label it “Xtream API”). Copy the server URL, username and password exactly as your Swoop TV dashboard lists them. On the very first sign-in, give the app one to three minutes to pull in the channels and guide.

  5. Test a channel and the guide

Start any live channel, then open the TV guide. A blank guide usually just needs time: hit refresh EPG in the player’s settings and wait a few minutes after the first load.

Getting a steadier picture

Get off 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi

A Firestick on a weak signal is the usual cause of stutter. Connect to 5 GHz, or better, plug in Amazon’s Ethernet adapter before a big game.

Give it a weekly reboot

Press and hold Select and Play together for about five seconds. The stick restarts and frees up memory the player has been holding.

Questions about Firestick setup

Will my Firestick model run Swoop TV?

Every Fire TV device Amazon sells today handles it: Fire TV Stick Lite, Fire TV Stick, 4K, 4K Max and Fire TV Cube. The very first sticks still work but can crawl when they load a big TV guide.

The player is not in the Amazon Appstore. Is that normal?

Yes. Plenty of IPTV players are not listed there, so this guide installs them with Downloader. You will find the link or code in your dashboard.

The app on my Firestick stopped working. Where do I start?

Reboot the stick, clear the player’s cache and double-check the login details. If that does not sort it out, our Firestick troubleshooting article walks through the usual error messages one by one.

Something not working?

Nine times out of ten, a restart of the player and the device, or a network cable, clears it up. For anything else, try these: firestick troubleshooting guide , comparing player apps , stop buffering on a firestick . Or write to support and tell us which device and player you are using.
