Swoop TV on Samsung and LG Smart TVs

You do not need to buy a stick if your Samsung or LG TV is reasonably recent. Install a supported player from the TV’s own app store, connect it to your Swoop TV account, and the channels show up on the TV itself.

Before you start

  • A Samsung & LG Smart TVs that is online
  • The Swoop TV login shown in your dashboard. Not signed up? Grab a free trial first.
  • A player app, for example: IBO Player, Smart IPTV players available in your TV store

Setup, one step at a time

  1. Open the TV’s app store

Samsung calls it Apps; on LG it is the LG Content Store. Check that the TV is online and has installed its latest software update first.

  2. Add a supported player

Find the player named on your dashboard and install it. A number of Smart TV players ask for a small one-time activation fee for each TV. You pay that to the app’s developer; Swoop TV never sees it.

  3. Write down the device ID

When the player opens for the first time it usually displays a MAC address or a device key. Copy it onto paper or take a photo.

  4. Connect the player to Swoop TV

Type the device ID and your Swoop TV login into the player’s website, or email both to our support team. Close and reopen the app and the channel list loads.

TVs from before 2018

Older sets often cannot run today’s players at all. Plugging in a Firestick or a Google TV stick is the dependable way around that.

Questions about Smart TV setup

I have a Samsung or LG Smart TV. Do I still need a Firestick?

Usually not. On most sets from roughly 2018 on, a player from the built-in app store does the job. A stick does give you a wider choice of players and tends to feel snappier.

Why is the TV player asking me to pay?

Certain Smart TV players charge a one-off activation fee per television. The developer of that app collects it, and it is separate from what you pay Swoop TV.

Something not working?

Nine times out of ten, a restart of the player and the device, or a network cable, clears it up. For anything else, try these: m3u or xtream: which login , use a firestick instead . Or write to support and tell us which device and player you are using.
