Refund policy
Revised on
Draft for review. The business owner still has to fill in everything shown in [brackets], and a lawyer familiar with your jurisdiction should check the full text before it goes live.
Every new account comes with a free 24-hour trial for checking the channels, the picture and your own devices before any money changes hands. We strongly suggest you do. Nothing tells you more about whether the service suits your setup.
Situations that qualify for a refund
[Write your rule here. Example: “If the service will not run on your device within 7 days of purchase and support is unable to solve it, you get your money back in full.”]
Situations that do not qualify
- [e.g. requests made once the refund period has ended]
- [e.g. accounts closed or suspended for violating the terms of service]
- Money you paid to an outside app developer, such as a Smart TV player’s activation fee, since that payment went to them and not to Swoop TV
Requesting a refund
- Write to [email protected] using the email on your account, or pick “Plans & billing” as the topic on the contact form.
- Let us know the device and player you use and what goes wrong. We will try to get it working before anything else.
- Once approved, the refund is sent to the card or method you paid with within [X business days]. Some banks need a few extra days before it appears.
Paying with a Canadian card
We refund in US dollars, and your bank turns that into CAD. Because exchange rates move, the CAD figure on your statement may be a little different from the original charge.
