Windows & macOS
Swoop TV on Windows and Mac
Computers give you a choice. The Swoop web player runs inside your browser with no install at all. If you would rather have a full TV-guide grid, put a desktop IPTV player on the machine instead.
Before you start
- A Windows & macOS that is online
- The Swoop TV login shown in your dashboard. Not signed up? Grab a free trial first.
- A player app, for example: Swoop web player (browser), MyIPTV Player (Windows), VLC (Windows and Mac)
Setup, one step at a time
-
Quickest route: open the web player
Log in to your dashboard and launch the web player. Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox all run it, and it has search and favorites built in.
-
Prefer an app? Add a desktop player
Install a player from the list on your dashboard. VLC works differently: copy the M3U link from your dashboard and paste it into Media → Open Network Stream.
-
Log in with the details from your dashboard
Pick “Xtream Codes” as the login method (a few players label it “Xtream API”). Copy the server URL, username and password exactly as your Swoop TV dashboard lists them. On the very first sign-in, give the app one to three minutes to pull in the channels and guide.
Getting a steadier picture
Keep it as a backup
While a TV app is installing or updating, the web player on a laptop keeps you watching.
Questions about Windows / Mac setup
Is there anything to install on my PC or Mac?
Not if you use the Swoop web player, which runs in Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox. A desktop player is only worth adding if you want a full guide grid.
Will VLC play Swoop TV?
It will, using the M3U link in your dashboard. VLC lacks a real TV guide, though, so treat it as a quick test tool rather than your main way to watch.
Something not working?
Nine times out of ten, a restart of the player and the device, or a network cable, clears it up. For anything else, try these: choosing m3u or xtream codes , what the web player does . Or write to support and tell us which device and player you are using.
