Swoop TV on Android TV and Google TV
This is the easy one. Chromecast with Google TV, the NVIDIA Shield, Android TV sets and most Android boxes install the good IPTV players directly from Google Play, so there is nothing to sideload.
Before you start
- A Android TV & Google TV that is online
- The Swoop TV login shown in your dashboard. Not signed up? Grab a free trial first.
- A player app, for example: TiviMate, IPTV Smarters Pro, XCIPTV
Setup, one step at a time

Go to Google Play
Open the Apps row on the home screen and launch Google Play Store. Sign in to your Google account if the TV prompts you.

Install the player
Look up the player your dashboard suggests and install it. On Android TV, TiviMate has the nicest guide layout of the lot.

Log in with the details from your dashboard
Pick “Xtream Codes” as the login method (a few players label it “Xtream API”). Copy the server URL, username and password exactly as your Swoop TV dashboard lists them. On the very first sign-in, give the app one to three minutes to pull in the channels and guide.

Trim the channel list
Hide categories you never open and mark the channels you use as favorites. Flipping through a short list with a remote is a lot quicker.
Getting a steadier picture
If you have a Shield
Switch on “Match content frame rate” under display settings. Fast motion in sports looks smoother with it.
Boxes with little storage
When menus start to lag, go to Settings → Apps, pick the player and clear its cache.
Questions about Android TV setup
Can I use Swoop TV on a Chromecast with Google TV?
Yes. It installs Android TV apps from Google Play like any other Google TV device, so you add a player such as TiviMate and log in.
Do I have to pay for TiviMate?
There is a free version. Some extras sit behind TiviMate’s own premium subscription, which you buy from the app’s developer. Swoop TV does not charge for it or receive any of it.
