Catch every game with Swoop TV, no cable sports package needed

Sunday football, playoff nights, the fight card you have waited months for. Swoop TV keeps national and regional sports channels in one group, and the TV guide tells you what starts next.

What Swoop TV offers sports fans

National sports channels

The major national networks that cable providers usually lock behind a pricier sports tier, gathered in a single group.

Regional channels

Regional sports networks covering many US markets, plus Canadian sports channels, so your home team is part of the line-up.

PPV and special events

An events group for one-off broadcasts and pay-per-view cards, whenever they are carried.

Guide built for game day

Start times and upcoming programs sit right in the TV guide. Set a reminder and skip the frantic channel search.

Follow along from anywhere

The browser-based web player lets you keep an eye on the score from a laptop when you are away from the couch.

Get your setup ready before kickoff

Nothing pushes a stream harder than live sport. The camera is always moving, and thousands of people near you tune in at the exact same time. Spend five minutes on the steps below and the game is far more likely to play cleanly.

  1. Use a wired connection when possible. Ethernet holds up better than Wi-Fi, and a Firestick only needs a cheap adapter. See our Wi-Fi vs Ethernet guide for details.
  2. Reboot your streaming device an hour ahead. Player apps pile up cached data over several days, and a restart wipes it.
  3. Tune in before the start. Problems show up during the pre-game coverage, while you still have time to fix them.
  4. Switch off motion smoothing. This TV setting can make quick movement look odd and adds a little lag.
  5. Have a plan B. Leave a second device or the web player signed in to your account so you can jump over if one app acts up.

Still seeing stutters? Read our guide to lag-free live sports along with the buffering fixes. We wrote both around the problems people bring to support on packed sports weekends.

Picking a Swoop TV plan for sports

Following a single season? A 3-month or 6-month plan normally costs less than renewing every month, without committing you to a full year. If you watch sports twelve months a year, the 12-month plan gives the best value. Line them up on the pricing page, or check the numbers in our plan length savings breakdown.

Expecting games in several rooms at once? Decide on the device count before anything else. A single Swoop TV IPTV account handles anywhere from 1 to 5 screens simultaneously.

Sports questions

Is it possible to stream two games at once?

It is, as long as your plan includes at least two devices. Every screen playing a stream uses one device slot, so with a 2-device plan one game can run on the TV while another plays on a tablet.

Do you carry pay-per-view events?

When an event is part of the line-up, you will find it in the events group of your player. Look a day ahead, and contact support if it has not shown up.

My neighbor cheers before I see the goal. Why?

Every streaming service runs slightly behind antenna TV, and the buffer in your player can add a few more seconds. That extra cushion is what keeps the picture from freezing in the middle of a play.
