How our guides get written and kept current

Everything we publish is meant to get you watching with less hassle. This page explains how we keep it correct, practical and straight with you.

The writers

Our Swoop TV support team writes the articles and setup guides. They are the same people who reply to setup emails all week, and most topics start in the inbox: once a question shows up again and again, we turn the answer into a guide.

Checking the facts

  • Before a guide goes up, someone works through every step on the actual device. We repeat that whenever the device menus or the app change.
  • Numbers like recommended internet speeds come from public references such as the FCC’s broadband guidance, linked at the bottom of the article.
  • You will not find made-up statistics, reviews or test results here. When we cannot confirm a detail, we drop it or explain that it depends.

Citing sources

Articles that lean on outside information list those sources at the end. When we link to a third-party app or site, it is only so you can find it. Those apps have no connection to us, and nobody pays us to name them.

Dates and reviews

Each article carries its publish date and the date of its latest update. Setup guides get a fresh review at least [every 3 months], or earlier if an app or device update moves the steps around.

Where we mention our own plans

Swoop TV is a paid IPTV service, so our plans and the free trial come up in articles when they actually help the reader. The practical advice itself, from fixing buffering to choosing a player for your device, works the same no matter which provider you have.

Reporting an error

If a step is wrong or out of date, let us know on the contact page or by emailing [email protected]. Once we confirm the problem, we fix the article and change its updated date.
